Beautifully written, this really spoke to me and im glad to hear someone talk about it, the way in which “mental health” is often treated as this issue that can be solved with ssris and meaningless non-solutions, and the way the state can act so two faced when claiming to “aid the mentally ill”. Its cathartic to know that i and many others aren’t alone and your criticism of how our institutions and society treats those labelled “mentally ill” is both scathing, poignant, and also hopeful as you take us through your journey of recovery. Thank you for this, sincerely.
i wish i could comment something better, but this is one of those things that will be running through my mind for a long time. this was so beautifully written!
