evil female is a blog based in cultural critique and examinations of pop culture and social interactions from a lens informed by political economy, historical materialism, and radical love politics. How do the images we see shape our conceptions of ourselves and the people around us? How is culture made and distributed? Where can we find a future built on community, solidarity, and hope? Hopefully this blog can start to answer some of those questions. Written from a lens that hopes to capture a wide audience of readers with a variety of backgrounds, Evil Female mixes wit and sharp humor with compassion and critical inquiry.

Charlie lives in Berlin. They hold a B.A. in History, Media Studies, and Studio Art from Skidmore College and an M.A. in Culture Industry from Goldsmiths, University of London. A native of Portland, Maine, Charlie enjoys staring at the vast and grey Atlantic ocean, listening to Alex G, befriending cats on the street, and talking at a million miles an hour to anyone who will listen.
